History
In 1954, Knut Schmees senior founded the company Meyer KG – Kraftfutterwerk in Twistringen, Lower Saxony. Thanks to their outstanding quality, the protein concentrates produced here were quickly used with great success throughout Germany.
In the years that followed, the company was continuously expanded and today, under the name “Kraftfutter-Meyer GmbH”, is one of the most renowned suppliers of specialised feedstuffs, even beyond the German border.
Kraftfutter-Meyer GmbH offers a wide range of feed for pigs and cattle, including mineral feed, protein concentrates, milk replacers as well as complete and supplementary feed under the brand name pro-fit. Products for pets are offered under the allcat® and alldog® brands. In the area of horse feed, the company offers Ramikal, a comprehensive programme for breeding and sport horses.
Kraftfutter-Meyer GmbH develops, produces and distributes its products independently, thereby guaranteeing a consistently high standard of quality. The company is registered and authorised by the official feed monitoring authority as a manufacturer and distributor of additives, premixes, mixtures and feed materials (authorisation number αDENI200078).
Kraftfutter-Meyer GmbH has had a quality management system in place since 2001, which led to successful certification by Qualität & Sicherheit GmbH in 2002. This guarantees standardised quality assurance of all feed as QS goods. A company-specific HACCP concept is used to identify potential risks.
The company is registered in the “A-Futter” programme and is permitted to use the “A-Futter” mark for marketing. In addition, Kraftfutter-Meyer GmbH participates in the “pastus” system and labels corresponding feeds with “pastus® + AMA quality seal suitable”.
The company’s feed production is certified in accordance with the VLOG standard, which documents the use of GMO-free feed. Kraftfutter-Meyer GmbH is a member of the German Animal Feed Association (DVT).
Kraftfutter-Meyer GmbH is part of the SCHMEES group of companies, which operates nationally and internationally in the fields of animal feed, fertilisers, personal care, hygiene and household cleaning products and animal care products.
